Internship Title: Shop Intern Job Description

INTRODUCTION:
This Job Description establishes and describes the basic function, duties, responsibilities and education/experience requirements for the functional position of the Shop Intern of Crossroads Mobile Maintenance (CRMM) as assigned to that function by the Shop Service Manager.

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Shop Intern is responsible for his/her own tools, shop tools, customer’s property and company property. The Shop Detailer will maintain Crossroads Mobile Maintenance’s strong focus on creating a culture of safety, integrity, passion, and intelligence.
The primary function and focus of CRMM is to facilitate Utility Asset Preventive Maintenance Program Development and Administration, Utility Truck and Equipment Parts Sales, Utility Asset Design, Fabrication and Up-fit, Utility Transport Service and Utility Service and Safety Training.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Shop Intern receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to, the Shop Service Manager for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. The Shop Intern must maintain harmonious relationships with company employees and other individuals associated with ongoing business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1.                1 years’ experience in similar field
2.                Basic computer skills
3.                Working towards High School diploma or equivalent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The principle duties and responsibilities of the Shop Intern consist of but are not limited to, the following:
1.                Observe, comply with government, CRMM, and our customers’ safety and security standards
2.                Capable of working without constant supervision
3.                Maintain your workspace, appearance, and housekeeping
4.                Communicate with your supervisor and scheduler on a daily basis or as needed
5.                Act as a representative of CRMM and perform work in a professional manner
6.                Comply with reporting and paperwork details in a timely manner
7.                Quality cleaning of outside and inside of vehicles and equipment
8.                Follow company cleaning standards
9.                Detailed inspection, washing, buffing, waxing exteriors, vacuuming interiors, steaming and deodorizing interior
10.             Job shadow all aspects of Shop when asked by Shop Service Manager.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
