Internship Title: Fabrication Shop Intern

Essential Functions:
• Work with Fabricators and Shop Managers learning various manufacturing skills.
o Cutting Material
o Deburring Material
o Using power tools to deburr parts, drill holes etc.
o Operate CNC Press Brake
• Work with qualified welders to learn welding/fabrication, blue print reading, and material handling techniques.
o Learn & practice different welding processes and techniques
o Possibly run automated welding robot
• Work with CNC operators to learn various automated machinery and programming techniques.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to follow instructions
• Mathematics skills
• Proper safety clothing required. Steel toe boots, jeans, long sleeved shirt, safety glasses will be provided.
• Must be a student in good standing

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS.
