PE Classroom Assistant

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Student will:
Instruct PE and Conditioning Classes with appropriate technique and movements under the direct supervision of classroom teacher
Lead groups in PE Class based on supervision and direction of classroom teacher
Design custom weight training programs for students based on supervision and direction of classroom teacher
Keep weight room neat, clean and safety checked based on supervision and direction of classroom teacher

Required Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to follow instructions. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player.
Must be detail-oriented. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.
Must be courteous and respectful.

Enjoy working with people, self-starter, motivated, able to communicate clearly and concisely to the grade level.

Must be a high school student in good standing.

Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Appropriate Casual Gym clothing attire/shoes.
Must be interested in pursuing a degree in Physical Education.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHERDUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OFTHE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITEHOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
