Classroom Assistant - Math

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

Will work assigned hours per week.
Develop ways of leading students to think of problem solving strategies.
Develop questioning skills.
Develop strategies for working with students of varying abilities.
Will assist in preparing lessons.
Will tutor students.
Will complete some grading tasks.

Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Ability to learn quickly. Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.

Must be a Junior/Senior year student in good academic standing.
Must be interested in pursuing a degree in education.
