Office Hours: 8-4

Essential Functions:

• Work assigned hours per week:
• Assist in preparing overheads/work materials
• Assist students in one on one or small group settings
• Assist students with research projects

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to follow directions, professional and trustworthy conduct required.
• Appearance and demeanor reflect a maturing, thoughtful and helpful individual.
• Must communicate clearly in all media (written, spoken, virtual).
• Must be able to critically evaluate alternative viewpoints.
• Must be able to maintain restraint when dealing with adolescents.
• It would be helpful for the assistant to be familiar with the following works: Plato's The Trial and Death of Socrates; Marcus Aurelius' Meditations; James Loewen's  Lies My Teacher Told Me; Daniel Quinn's Ismael; Ronald Moore's 2003 version of Battlestar Galactica

• THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
