Internship Title: Architect Intern

Business is a full-service architecture, interior design, engineering, program management and construction management firm with employees located across the United States.

Essential Functions:

· Job shadow architects and learn daily activities

· Help build models and put drawings together

· Use CADD drafting software to work on specific projects as needed

· Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies

Minimum Requirements:

· Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Ability to learn quickly. Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

· Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible

· Business casual attire

· This job description lists the basics of this position but should be with the understanding that the field of architecture is varied and demanding in respect to delivering a comprehensive set of construction documents

· This position will entail working with several project managers along with the administrative staff. Good communication skills and the ability to organize will be essential for this candidate

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
