Objective:  Seeking someone with strong work ethic, reliable team player and eager to learn on the job.  Looking for a first year graduate or intern wanting more work experience than just an 8 week internship.

Course Description:  Small town 9-hole golf course on 55 acres with two ponds.  Measures 6200 yards from championship tees.  Lots of elevation change.  No sand bunkers.  Awarded 2010 9-hole course of the year by the Iowa Golf Association for the second time (first, 1984).

Job Description:  Mow greens, tees and collars, fairways and rough.  String trim and push mow.  Empty trash, clean bathrooms.  Cut cups.  Learn and apply fertilizer program.  If licensed, learn to spray fungicides and herbicides.  Service equipment, backlap reels and sharpen rotary blades.  Verticut and topdress greens.  Fix irrigation leaks and operate irrigation system.  Work on any renovation projects that may arise.

Summary:  Basically looking for assistant/apprentice. You will learn to do everything that I do in day-to-day operations.  This is a very good opportunity to use as a stepping stone to a career turfgrass management.
