Internship Length: 90 hrs
Office Hours: 8-5PM

Essential Functions:

·        Work closely with Financial Advisor (FA) on helping to organize and growing insurance and investment practice

·        Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

·        Must be able to keep all information confidential

·        Ability to become comfortable in communicating to prospective and existing clients in a highly professional manner.

·        Work with FA on the process of gathering, researching, case building and presenting solutions to clients and  center(s) of influence.

·        Processing paperwork through all channels of technology (scanning, faxing, paper filing, electronic filing, ect.)

·        Help to systemize the client information within a software program for reporting activities and marketing promotions/campaigns.

Minimum Requirements:

·        Skills/Knowledge: Needs to be familiar with Microsoft Office programs, comfortable with the internet, and ability to  work in a professional office that works with the public.

·        Will be fingerprinted for registration with Broker/Dealer.

·        Strong math skills, with an interest in a math-related career.

·        Willing to take direction, follow directions, and be courteous and respectful, as well as posses trustworthy conduct.

·        Prompt and dependable, takes pride in ownership in work. Must be a team player, and have good communication skills.

·        Must be a high school student in good standing, mature and possess an open-minded positive attitude. 

·       Professional business casual attire.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
