Planter Maintenance Technician/ Seed Assistant

Office Hours: 8-5

Essential Functions:

Assist with Corn & Soybean Planter repair.

Assist with seed delivery and delivery staging.

Assist with planting research plots.

Training will be provided.

Work is indoors & outdoors, depending on the weather.

Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Prompt and dependable, takes pride and ownership in work. Must be a self-starter, team player and perform routine tasks without being prompted.

Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible. Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
