Job Title:        Feed Mill / Warehouse Assistant
Department:   Feed & Office
Reports To:    Dwayne Duwa or Adam Cole
FLSA Status:  Exempt
PCP Code:     Level 4

Summary:
Primarily assist Grain and Feed Mill Manager to keep the warehouse clean and in an organized working order.  Pick up the next day's Pet Food Orders.  Weigh ingredients to go into custom feed rations for daily production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Grain and Feed Mill Managers with warehouse organization.
  • Stack down Pet Food pallets and pick the next day's delivery orders.
  • Make customer deliveries or pick-ups when necessary.
  • Maintain a valid Drivers at all times.
  • Loading customer's purchases when needed.
  • Weighing ingredients and medications used in production when needed.
  • Cleaning as time permits.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability: 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificate and Licenses:
Maintain a valid Drivers License at all times.

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE Staff or sUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. On-site HOURS WILL BE negotiated WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
