Day Care Assistant Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8-12Noon or 2pm-5pm

Greet parents, children and fellow at all times in a friendly manner. A smile is a must.
Communicate with the lead teacher about any concerns.
Know and follow the daily schedule and curriculum posted in the classroom and written plans for outside playtime.
Interact appropriately with the children. Positive language and verbalize your actions.
Know and follow all cleaning routines for tables, cots, toys, laundry, etc.
Know and maintain proper ratios in the classroom.
Planning and preparation work should be done during children's rest time.
Follow the dress code as written in the handbook.

Student must complete and pass a background check in order to be around the students. Student is responsible for a $17 background check prior to approval.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
