High School Architectural Intern

Business is a full service architecture and engineering consulting firm providing outstanding service for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Job shadow architects and engineers and learn daily activities.

2. Learn computer programs by doing tutorials, asking questions and experimenting on your own.

3. Use computer programs to work on specific projects as directed.

4. Attend project site meetings and take notes and produce meeting minutes.

5. Assist with existing building documentation.

6. Have Fun!

Minimum Requirements

1. Skill/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Ability to learn quickly. Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

2. Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.

3. Business casual attire.

4. This job description lists the basics of this position but should be with the understanding that the field of architecture and engineering is varied and demanding in respect to delivering a comprehensive set of construction documents.

5. This position will entail working with architects, engineers, project managers and administrative staff. Good communication skills and the ability to organize will be essential for this candidate.

Intern will be evaluated on performance of projects listed as well as interaction with employees and clients. Work hours will be negotiated with each candidate.
