Agricultural Repair Technician

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 7am-5pm

Job Description:
Intern will perform basic/complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment power equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required.
2) Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment/outdoor equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
3) Participates in all job-related training and development.
4) Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
5) Maintains current product knowledge of John Deer and competitive products.
6) Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.

Technical Knowledge and Skills that will be Learned:
*Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
*Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
*Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
*Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, extended hours, and holidays
*Must maintain a valid drivers license with an insurable driving record
*Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures

Working Conditions:
*All weather conditions
*Must be able to lift 75 pounds
*Work shop setting
*Standing for extended periods of time
*Repetitive bending and/or kneeling

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
