3.      CM Intern can perform nearly all of the same functions as a Case Manager, however, the Case Manager must first provide the CM Intern with clear instructions on and direct assistance with the task involved until it is learned.  The CM Intern can sign completed documents, but the Case Manager must proofread and co-sign each one as well.  A Director, TCM Supervisor, QA Supervisor, Case File Auditor and/or office Team Leader must also periodically review and sign completed documents for purposes of quality assurance.  The CM Intern can assist with scheduling Team meetings, however, the Case Manager will accompany the CM Intern to them, as well as to any visits to the CPC to obtain funding.   Once the CM Intern has received proper training, they can assist with typing any reports that are to be generated from the meetings they attend or with completing other forms (Authorizations, Assessments, Funding Agreements, Incident Reports, etc.)  that may be needed.  The Case Manager must be present by speakerphone throughout any phone calls made to or with the client and during the documentation process.  They must sign off on each completed project.

CM Intern cannot provide direct services to individuals that we serve, while working for
