Architectural/Design Intern Rotation

Office Hours: 8-5

Essential Functions:

Goal of this internship is to demonstrate the "all aspects" model of design/build/management.
Student will rotate throughout Ahmann Inc. four key functional areas:

Ahmann Design-Residential drafting and design
Fusion Architects-Commercial design and civil engineering
Compass Commercial Services-Construction Management and General Contracting
Ahmann Property Management

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Strong preference given to students who completed the Kirkwood ACE Academy and/or taken Project Lead the Way classes.
Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful.
Ability to learn quickly and must demonstrate a dedicated interest in pursuing architectural design in post secondary pursuits.
Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Business casual attire.
This job description lists the basics of this position but should be with the understanding that the field of architecture is varied and demanding in respect to delivering a comprehensive set of construction documents.
This position will entail working with several project managers along with the administrative staff. Good communication skills and the ability to organize will be essential for this candidate.
