Architectural/Design Intern Rotation

Essential Functions:

Goal of this internship is to demonstrate the "all aspects" model of design/build/management.

Student will rotate throughout Ahmann Inc. four key functional areas:

  • Ahmann Design-Residential drafting and design
  • Fusion Architects-Commercial design and civil engineering
  • Compass Commercial Services-Construction Management and General Contracting
  • Ahmann Property Management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Skills/Knowledge: Strong preference given to students who completed the Kirkwood ACE Academy and/or taken Project Lead the Way classes.
  • Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful.
  • Ability to learn quickly and must demonstrate a dedicated interest in pursuing architectural design in post secondary pursuits.
  • Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
  • Business casual attire.
  • This job description lists the basics of this position but should be with the understanding that the field of architecture is varied and demanding in respect to delivering a comprehensive set of construction documents.
  • This position will entail working with several project managers along with the administrative staff. Good communication skills and the ability to organize will be essential for this candidate.
