This position includes both clerical and program assistance to the Foundation Director and other staff as designated at Marengo Memorial Hospital. As an intern, this position will assist with the organization of hospital’s community outreach project at the Iowa County Fair in Marengo and the MMH Foundation 5K Run / Walk and Kids Fun Run. This position is under the general supervision of the Foundation Director. The position requires proficiency with computers, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and skills in multitasking and performing a wide variety of duties as need for each project. Intern must be professional, courteous, respectful, dependable and willing to work in a team environment. Dress is professional casual or as designated for the project. Hours will vary based upon projects.

Primary Duties will include the following:

Community Outreach Iowa County Fair-Marengo, IA

Help with organization of materials for the Information tent at Iowa County Fair

Help with scheduling of activities for tent and recruitment of staff for tent

Experience working information tent with other MMH staff members

Assist with clerical tasks as needed prior to event

MMH Foundation 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run

Assist with processing and entering race data prior to event

Assist with prerace registration details

Help recruit staff as needed to support event

Help race day with event set-up, event and post race clean-up

Assist with race related tasks as needed prior to the event.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
