Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8-4

Functions:

Student will participate in our community awareness program
Student will develop awareness materials to distribute and will be trained in outreach practices.
Student will participate in community meetings held once a month if available
Student will learn protecting children is everyone's business and how we spread that message.
Student will help prepare and participate in Presentations, Programs and other areas of outreach.
Student will have the opportunity to help promote and follow through on Lending Library activities
Student will be given hands on experience in PR material development, training and public education.

Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
Strong organizational and communication skill.
Attention to detail with excellent academic skill
Professional and trustworthy conduct
Courteous and respectful demeanor
Patient and supportive, positive attitude toward working with the public.
Interest in working with children
Flexibility and high energy
Mature attitude
Confidentially is a must.
Would be ideal if student was available on Thursday mornings to attend community meetings.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
