Marketing Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Purpose of Position:
The Marketing Intern is a high school age student aspiring to join the marketing profession and wanting to see the day to day tasks involved with the position. They will assist the marketing coordinator in the completion of projects in marketing, advertising, and public relations.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities:*

·       Assist in preparing ads for newspaper & radio.

·       Update our social media platforms.

·       Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.

·       Run general industry related errands.

·       Networking.

·       Assist in building brand awareness.

·       Assist with advertising campaigns.

·       Assist the Activities Coordinator with projects.

 

Intern Qualifications:

·       High school aged student.

·       Strong attention to detail & accuracy.

·       Proficient computer skills a plus, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Excellent time management skills and able to balance multiple projects.

·       Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

·       Strong critical & creative thinking.

·       Problem solving skills, both written & verbal.

·       Leadership skills.

·       Organize social events, fundraising, & volunteer events.

 

Maintaining confidentiality is a must.  Professional & trustworthy conduct and courteous & respectful demeanor is required.  HIPAA laws must absolutely be adhered to.  We maintain the privacy of our patient’s identity and health information.

*This description does not list all duties, interns may be asked to perform other duties by the staff or supervisor.  Intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects listed as well as interaction with employees and clients.  On-site hours will be negotiated with each candidate.

Safety expectations, including harassment, will be reviewed with the host.
