The Lil’ Racer Car Club provides recreational, educational, and entertainment choices to young dirt race track fans under the age of 14. There are clubs located on Friday nights in Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown, Saturdays in Wes Liberty and on Sundays in Vinton. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity as defined by the Federal Government. We can be found on Facebook at Lil Racer Car Club, INC.

We provide gunny sack, boxcar, bike, big wheel races, Have had clowns at the track, do food drives to support area food pantries, have pool parties, give trophies donated by drivers away as prizes. Have a “Free Table” where we have a candy bowl, cooler with water and juice boxes, Health and safety brochures, coloring books and colors, tattoos, ALL FREE TO THE KIDS!

Number of Openings: Four (4) - Two on Friday nights at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids and Two on Saturday nights at West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, IA.
Internship available: Summer 2017
Non-Paid Internship
Hours per week: 8 - 10

Job Description:
Assist the crew with booth set up and prepare for guests.
Assist the guests with registration.
Maintain and re-stock table when supplies run low.
Participate in intermission activities each week.
Maintain charts and files for weekly activities.
Photography skills are an asset.

Time at Tracks:
Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids - arrive by 5PM on Friday.
West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty - arrive by 4PM on Saturday.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
