Office Hours: Tuesday-Saturday

Essential Functions:

Observe/Shadow in Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Massage Therapy classrooms.

Learn Business Success Strategies of Health & Beauty Industry.

Learn about Professional Salon/Spa vs. Non-Professional Salon/Spa products.

Some hands-on mannequin work in classroom under instructor guidance/supervision.

Learn about the job opportunities with in Health & Beauty Field.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Strong organizational skills a plus.

Must be able to communicate well and be comfortable working with the public.

Professional conduct and reliability required.

Must be courteous and respectful to students, clientele and staff.

Must be a high school junior or senior and possess a positive attitude.

All black professional attire is recommended – no jeans.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
