Animal Caretaker Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

Assists staff and clients with animals.
Walks dogs
Cleans kennels.
Feeds animals.
Assists with administering medication as directed by staff.
Care and cleaning of facilities and equipment.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image.
Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge:

Enjoy animals and people, prompt and dependable, takes pride and ownership in work.
Must be a self-starter, team player and able to perform routine tasks without being prompted.
Must be a high school student in good standing.
Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible. Ability to follow instructions.
Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.
Must be courteous and respectful.
Science and animal classes a plus.
