Baking Assistant Intern

Essential Functions:

This person will assist in all aspects of preparing, baking, decorating, and packaging gourmet dog biscuits for sale and resale customers.  This will involve learning and mixing a variety of dog treat recipes; kneading, rolling, cutting, and traying cut biscuits onto baking trays; placing and removing trays of dog biscuits to and from tray racks, oven, drying closet, and inventory locations; sorting and decorating treats for specialty items; filling orders by sorting and packaging treats for shipment and delivery; also learn how to work the cash register and provide best-in-class customer service; and special projects as assigned.

A qualified person will be able to lift 50#; be able to stand for extended periods of time, be a team player, be willing to learn and do new things; have some attention to detail, be kind to our four-legged guests (dogs) and their owners; and enjoy working in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Grumpy people who bite, bark, and haven't had their shots need not apply. 

 

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
