Technician Apprentice

Job Function:

Participates in on-the-job training, performing basic repairs and/or restorations of industrial equipment and/or vehicles under the direction of an Owner, Senior Technician or Shop Foreman.  

 

Essential Duties:

         Performs basic service tasks as assigned.

         Develops skills in removal, disassembly, and reassembly of components.

         Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.

         Participates in Training required for the development of skills and knowledge.

         Assists other Technicians as required.

         Maintains condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

         Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in restoration and repair.

         Basic knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems is recommended.

         Skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.

         Must be a high school student in good standing.

         Interpersonal skills with fellow team member and customers.

         Exhibits core skills or punctuality, communication, safety minded, respect to others and willingness to learn constantly and exhibit those skills learned.


THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

 

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
