Reports To: Facility Manager                           

Work Schedule:   M-F 7:30am-4pm
Age Requirement: Student must be 18 years age at start of internship

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide quality products and services in the operations that will assist member owners of River Valley Cooperative to be financially successful in their farming operations and provide for a sustainable local cooperative operation to serve member needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES

  • Mixing, loading and application of pesticides/fertilizers
  • Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals
  • Unload and load grain from storage bins
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Observe all OSHA, DOT, state, federal safety regulations at all times.

  • Follow housekeeping practices that keep the facilities neat and clean.

  • Perform duties at other locations/departments when assigned.

  • React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

  • Apply pesticides and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields

  • Support River Valley operations in other functional areas of the operations business as needed
