Architectural Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00-5:00, Mon-Fri

Essential Functions:

  • Archiving Projects:  Drawings, correspondence and updating archive list.
  • Printing/Plotting:  Run prints and plots and scan documents as needed.
  • CADD/REVIT drafting:  Exposure to CADD and REVIT drafting and other computer-aided design programs (no actual CADD or REVIT work to be done).
  • Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and values of the company and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Skills/Knowledge:  Ability to follow instructions and freedom to ask questions for clarity on task.  Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.  Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be a high school student in good standing.  Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
  • Business casual attire.
  • This job description lists the basics of this position but should be with the understanding that the field of architecture/engineering is varied and demanding in respect to delivering a comprehensive set of construction documents.
  • This position will entail working with Project managers and Project Delivery Coordinators along with the administrative staff.  Good communication skills and the ability to organize will be essential for this candidate.
This description does not list all duties. Intern may be asked to perform other duties by the staff or supervisor. Intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects listed as well as interaction with employees and clients. On-site hours will be negotiated with each candidate.
