Life Enrichment/Recreation Intern

Recreation interns will learn how to assist with the direct care of residents and assist in the development of physical, mental, emotional, social, and leisure skills necessary to participate in a continuum of activities which will enhance the resident’s well-being.

Recreation interns will learn to help with leisure activities through the use of games, sports, crafts and more.

Recreation interns will learn to plan, implement, and initiate one-on-one and group activities as well as learn to complete care assessment.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
