Intern Title: Engineering Solutions for Energy Conversion and Storage Systems Intern 

 

Essential Functions:

Developing strategies to nanomanufacture semiconducting nanowires for solar fuel production. Initially shadowing a graduate student and learn the nuances of electrodeposition of nanostructures in porous alumina template. After this shadowing experience, student will be fabricating their own class on semiconductor nanowires inside these nanoporous templates. They will also accompany graduate student to characterize their synthesized structures using scanning electron microscope.

 

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
