Overview:

This role would work directly with our co-owner and Director of Consulting Services. The intern will be given the opportunity to learn about the process implemented to take a project from a concept through completion as time allows. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Projects may include and focus on one or more of the following: 

  • Total asset valuation, including inventory
  • Organize data from previous bids, analyze and report out (MS Excel usage)
  • Cost management research - suppliers of “Install PO100” items (bits, cut-off wheels, etc.) – “who has the best prices for each item?”
  • Report on construction industry trends w/supporting data
  • Update inventory management system
  • Assess usage of stock/piping equipment and create posts to sell extraneous items

Requirements:


  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment or independently
  • Demonstrated ability to use PC-based office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • General understanding of principles of accounting a plus.
  • A high school Junior or Senior in good standing

  • Business casual attire required


THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
