Campaign Intern - US Representative

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00-5:00 M-F

Essential Functions:

Help with the clerical responsibilities of a congressional campaign office.
Must be comfortable talking to the general public in person or on the phone.
Will file and help with mailing.
Will assist at public functions, such as fundraising events, political events, door knocking, etc. as available
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image of the campaign.
Will use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Student must be 18 to participate in this internship.
Ability to follow instructions and be a team player.
Must possess attention to detail.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills and enjoy working with the public without bias or prejudice.
Professional and trustworthy conduct is expected. Confidentiality is required.
Must be a high school student in good standing.
Must be comfortable using the computer and office equipment.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH STAFF AND VOTERS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
