Dental Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00-5:00, Mon-Thurs

Essential Functions:

Shadow dentists, dental assistants, and dental hygienists.
Perform duties involved in the clerical functions of the dental office.
Exercise patient confidentiality at all times, perform duties associated with dental assisting.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image.
Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Enjoy working with the public without bias or prejudice. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required while being courteous and respectful. A positive attitude while being flexible is necessary.
Must be a high school junior or senior in good standing.
Business casual attire is required with closed-toed shoes.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
