Linn Area Credit Union is a not-for-profit, full-service financial organization with branches in Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa.
Role:
- Actively greets and welcomes all people at the door, handles requests from members and non-members, and directs people where they need to go and who they need to see in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner creating a positive experience.
- To support and actively demonstrate the Credit Union's mission and PROACTIVE Core Values on a daily basis.
- To be knowledgeable on the products and services offered by Linn Area Credit Union to handle inquiries, transactions, and assist members in solving problems and / or obtaining information while matching products and services best suited to their needs.
- To support positive teamwork and assist their supervisor and the team in achieving day to day operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Actively greets and welcomes members and non-members at the door; directing them to the correct professionals; provides information concerning LACU products and services and assisting the team to meet the sales and service goals.
- Responsible to assist the NE Team with opening and closing procedures, assuring all member contacts and information are handled thoroughly in a friendly, efficient, confidential, and professional manner.
- Receives and processes member's financial transactions and mail and assisting with other inquiries from the membership.
- Be accountable to complete designated tasks while keeping his/her area neat and orderly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Performance Measurements:
- To greet and provide friendly, professional, personal service to all non-members and members, applying the Credit Union's 'doing 1% more philosophy' assuring all contacts are handled professionally creating a positive experience.
- To accurately and completely handle all member inquiries and transactions daily.
- To meet balancing and accuracy standards established by procedure.
- To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance of self and area at all times.
- Follow credit union policies and procedures as established by the Board of Directors and Management.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience - Up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.
Education - A high school senior who is 18 is preferred.
Interpersonal Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills - Must possess excellent communication skills. Requires the ability to use simple arithmetic, the ability to read and understand written instructions, standard practices, and procedures. Be able to operate and utilize data processing, adding machines, Microsoft Office applications, and other related machines.
