Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

GOAL:
To acquaint the student with the process of developing graphic design within the context of an overall business strategy, whether in print or electronic media. The emphasis will be on working to influence customers ethically, and understanding how the resulting customer interactions impact the business.

At Monkeythis, we believe it's important to understand each team member’s role as it relates to the function of the agency. Therefore, each interns’ specific Goals and Expectations are developed after a second interview, and will be based on that particular intern’s interests, goals and strengths

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Participate in client meetings.
Participate in the development of marketing strategies.
Understand how specific action plans are created to reflect strategy.
Participate in specific tasks related to graphic design.
Will develop specific designs with the assistance of professionals that could be used by clients.
Develop an understanding of computer-aided graphic design programs.
Use the programs with coaching and guidance.
Receive constructive feedback and adjust initial work to reflect that feedback.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
