About Us:

The Rural Access Center (RAC) provides essential and timely mental health support in Benton County and surrounding areas. Through careful collaboration with a variety of community service providers, the RAC is able to offer a rapid response to those experiencing a mental health crisis and provide subsequent follow up support. The RAC is designed to provide law enforcement and community members with efficient and cost-effective alternatives to hospitals and jails by offering speedy access to community resources.

Description of Role:

·        Represent the Rural Access Center and its partners (including but not limited to Foundation 2) with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

·        Assist in the development of a resource guide to meet community needs.

·        Attend monthly meetings to gain a better understanding of the services available within Benton County.

·        Maintain regular contact with Rural Access Center Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

·        Possess good communication and organizational skills.

·        Abilities to operate a telephone and speak clearly while using it.

·        Experience with various Microsoft programs.

·        Maintain confidentiality at all times.

·        Business casual attire appropriate.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
