Chiropractic High School Student Intern

 

Essential Functions:

•Shadow doctor to observe chiropractic techniques and philosophy.

•Observe physiotherapy methods for patient application.

•Learn front desk procedures for patient scheduling.

•Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image.  Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the organization’s mission, vision and beliefs, and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum requirements:

•Skills/Knowledge:  Ability to follow instructions.  Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player, and enjoy working with the public without bias or prejudice.  Must be detail-oriented.  Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.  Student must be courteous and respectful.

•Experience/Education:  Must be a high school student in good standing.  Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.   

•Business casual attire.

•Understanding of patient confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.  Intern will read and sign a HIPPA compliance form ensuring that all information and details from this office are in strict confidentiality and that no information about this office, its staff, or patients will be discussed beyond this office.

 

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
