Introduction:

Schneiter Weers Insurance and Financial Solutions is an insurance provider with locations in Anamosa and Monticello.

Description of Role:

Use and model appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision, and beliefs of the company, and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.
Welcome, value and nurture people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, as well as support and promote an environment that accepts differences.
Maintain client confidentiality at times.
Review commercial and farm insurance renewals, and provide summary of the policy.
Analyze policies and determines rates.
Contact underwriters to gain deeper understanding of what is needed for a particular policy.
Provide insurance analysis for customer annual reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions, strong organizational and communication skills, and be a team player. Must be detail-oriented, courteous and respectful. Professional, trustworthy, and confidential conduct is required. Intern must be a self-starter, motivated, and able to communicate clearly and concisely.
Experience/Education: Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Attire: Appropriate business casual clothing attire/shoes.
General Physical Activities with or without Reasonable Accommodation: Frequent sitting, reaching, and walking. Occasional kneeling, crouching, standing, and lifting over 30 lbs.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
