Office Hours: 8am - 5pm

Purpose

The Titan EDGE program provides high school juniors/seniors and GED students opportunity to work alongside dealership teams in Service, Parts and Sales in one of our Agriculture or Construction Equipment dealerships. This program is designed to provide professional career connections and mentorship within the equipment industry. Participants are expected to work a minimum of 4hrs/week for a minimum of 12 weeks. 

This internship is only available to upcoming or current seniors!

Learning Outcomes:

The individual will learn product knowledge

o   Begin to identify equipment brands/attributes/descriptions/parts

o   Gain exposure to computer programs within each department

o   Participate in department demonstration and trainings, as applicable

 

The individual will gain experience in the Service, Parts and Sales departments, including safety awareness

o   Shadow diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components

o   Learn how to complete setup and assembly of products

o   Assist with washing and detailing equipment as needed, following age appropriate safety limits

o   Understand documentation on all reports and forms required for each sale (service, parts, sales)

o   Learn how to communicate problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers

o   Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments

 

The individual will gain exposure in customer relationship building

o   Analyze customer requests by identifying the facts

o   Present a positive and professional image of Titan Machinery in the presence of customers and community

 

The individual will participate in professional development

o   Attend department and area meetings, when applicable

o   Learn independent problem-solving, time management and communication skills

o   Participate in networking with team members, manufacturing partners and customers

o   Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 Required:

·        Enrollment in the 11th or 12th grade OR pursuing a GED.

·        Ability to work a minimum of 4hrs/week for a minimum of 12 weeks

·        Ability to provide quality work and think logically

·        Understand professional communication skills

·        Individuals who have completed high school or GED, or who drop out of their educational program, are ineligible for this program.

Physical Requirements:  Heavy Work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
