Data Analysis and Visualization Interns will work in teams to process, visualize and/or analyze data collected via driving simulators, eye tracker, surveys, crash reports, and/or in naturalistic driving research studies. Tasks will be scoped based on interns’ abilities and interests. These tasks might be accomplished using MATLAB, SAS, R, Tableau, with some introductory instruction and/or pseudocode provided, or other programs with which the interns have previously experience. It is expected that interns will be able to complete most of their work remotely but some meetings or activities (e.g., facilities tour) may be held in person.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
