Chiropractic Student Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8-5 M-F, 8-11 Sat

Essential functions:

  • Observe the doctor's evaluation and treatment of patients. Assist as appropriate.
  • Assist front desk staff with check in, check out, meet and greet of patients
  • Accompany the doctor(s) or team in daily activities. 
  • Answer phones, filing and data entry.
  • Maintain HIPPA and professionalism in all encounters.
  • Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image.
  • Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the clinic's mission, vision and beliefs, and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum requirements:

  • Skills/Knowledge: Must be able to follow instructions. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player, and have an interest in working with the public without bias or prejudice. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Student must be courteous and respectful. Client confidentiality is a must.    
  • Experience/Education: Must be a mature high school junior or senior in good standing.     
  • Physical effort and dexterity: Spends majority of time sitting, standing, bending, lifting and walking. 
  • Environment and Scheduling: Work is performed in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled environment.   

 

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
