Collins Aerospace Engineering Support Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 8:00-4:00, M-F

 This is a 40-hour internship in the Spring of 2024 (late/February or early-March through early-May) and open to graduating seniors. This internship is designed for students who don't intend to go directly to college after high school, but want to work in an professional career and/or engineering field. 

 
This is a first-time opportunity experience for individuals looking to support engineering projects. The intern will assist with a variety of activities based on Engineering Support and Configuration Management. Tasks will include process and tool support for design and development engineering. The intern will be exposed to a variety of different systems and tools necessary to complete daily tasks. The intern will be required to interact with a variety of different departments including but not limited to Configuration Management Services, Engineering Project Support, Technical Support Services, Printed Circuit Design, Mechanical Design Support & Design Assurance Center.  The intern may be asked to perform other duties by the staff or manager. The intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects assigned and interaction with suppliers, other employees and customers. Work hours to be negotiated and agreed upon by the manager and intern. This is an unpaid internship for academic credit which may lead to a full-time position.   

*This is not an experience for individuals looking into the engineering as a career, but for those interested in supporting engineering projects.

·         Microsoft Office (Intermediate+) experience required 

·         Maintains all confidentiality of all Collins Aerospace and customers’ Proprietary Information 

·         Must be a high school senior 

o    17+ to apply, 

·         US Citizen and/or Green Card holder

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE. 

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
