Essential Functions:

Assist as needed with the WIC program (Women, Infants, and Children - a special supplemental Nutrition Program for Women), including, but not limited to, following families through the clinic and visiting with dieticians.

Shadow the Dietician, Certified Dietary Managers and office staff.

Assist families in the clinic, as appropriate.

Assist with WIC-related phone calls, mailings, data entry, etc.

Communicate and interact with families and staff, as appropriate.

Exercise confidentiality of resident information at all times.

Help keep work areas neat and organized.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to follow instructions, be a team player, have a positive attitude and enjoy working with the public.

Must be detail-oriented, courteous and professional.

Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

Must be a high school student in good standing.

Dress in a professional manner.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
