The Ag Business / Service Technician, under supervision from staff, will have the opportunity to learn more about a future career through this experience.
Essential Functions:

- Assist with daily functions of the business and service department
Minimum Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge: Must have the ability to follow instructions, strong organizational and communication skills, and be courteous and respectful to customers and staff. Professional, trustworthy, and confidential conduct is required. Intern must enjoy working with the public without bias, and able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Must possess the ability to think on their feet and work well under pressure.
Experience/Education: Must be a high school student in good standing, and interested in pursuing a career in agriculture after high school. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible. Direct patient contact is off limits to all volunteers unless under the direct supervision of overseeing nurse for educational purposes and/or exposure.
Attire: Plan to dress appropriately for a shop setting. Steel or composite toe shoes are required, long pants of jeans without holes, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. No clothing with offensive language or sensitive topics. Dress for work and the weather.
General Physical Activities with or without reasonable accommodation: Occasional sitting, standing, reaching, walking or lifting up to 30lbs. Frequent kneeling, crouching, crawling, grasping, pulling, pushing or lifting over 30 lbs.
THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
