Overview:
This internship introduces high school students to office administration and the role of administrative assistants in supporting business operations. Interns will observe office staff, assist with clerical tasks, and gain experience in organization, communication, and professional workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Shadow administrative staff in daily office activities
· Assist with filing, organizing documents, and managing office supplies
· Help prepare reports, presentations, or correspondence as needed
· Answer phones, greet visitors, and learn professional communication standards
· Observe scheduling, calendar management, and workflow coordination
· Support office projects and team collaboration
· Completing assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

· Learn about office organization, communication, and workflow management
· Gain awareness of professional etiquette, confidentiality, and teamwork

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
