Golf Course & Turf Management Intern
About the Internship:
This internship provides high school students with hands-on experience in golf course and turf management. Interns will learn how to maintain high-quality playing surfaces, care for turfgrass, and support overall course operations while working alongside professional grounds staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with mowing, watering, and fertilizing turfgrass areas.

Help maintain sand traps, greens, fairways, and roughs.

Support irrigation system monitoring and basic maintenance.

Participate in landscaping tasks such as trimming, planting, and debris removal.

Learn about turfgrass health, soil conditions, and pest management.

Follow safety procedures when using tools, machinery, and equipment.

Complete assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
