About the Internship:
This internship provides high school students with practical experience in farm management, including overseeing crop production, livestock care, and farm operations. Interns will gain exposure to agricultural business practices, resource management, and leadership skills while supporting professional farm staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and coordinating daily farm operations.

Support crop production tasks, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting.

Help monitor and care for livestock, ensuring health and welfare standards.

Assist with maintenance of farm equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Participate in farm record-keeping for crops, livestock, inventory, and resources.

Learn to follow safety protocols and sustainable farming practices.

Shadow farm management staff to understand decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Complete assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
