Environmental Scientist Intern
About the Internship:
This internship provides high school students with hands-on experience in environmental science, giving them an opportunity to assist with research, fieldwork, and data analysis that supports sustainability and conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with environmental field studies, such as water, soil, and air sampling.

Collect and record data accurately for ongoing research projects.

Help monitor ecosystems, wildlife, or plant populations.

Support lab work, including sample testing and data entry.

Participate in environmental education or community outreach programs.

Observe and report environmental conditions and trends under supervision.

Complete assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
