Agronomy Specialist Intern
About the Internship:
This internship provides high school students with hands-on experience in agronomy, the science of soil management and crop production. Interns will support agronomy professionals in analyzing soil, monitoring crops, and applying sustainable agricultural practices while gaining exposure to the agriculture industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with soil sampling, testing, and analysis.

Observe and support crop monitoring and field inspections.

Help maintain accurate records of soil conditions, crop growth, and treatment plans.

Support agronomy team with research on fertilizers, seed varieties, and pest management.

Learn and apply sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship techniques.

Participate in team meetings and discussions on crop management strategies.

Complete assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
