Graphic Design Intern
Position Summary:
This internship introduces high school students to the creative field of graphic design. Interns will gain hands-on experience using design tools and techniques to create visual content that communicates ideas effectively. Students will support real projects such as marketing materials, social media graphics, and presentations while learning from design professionals.
Responsibilities:

Assist with creating digital and print designs (posters, flyers, social media posts, presentations).

Support branding projects by helping maintain consistent logos, colors, and fonts.

Edit and organize images or visual assets.

Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative campaigns.

Observe how client or team feedback is incorporated into designs.

Complete assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program
Learning Objectives:

Learn the fundamentals of graphic design and visual communication.

Develop skills using software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.

Gain experience in creative problem-solving and collaboration.

Qualifications:

High school student (11th - 12th grade).

Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
