Overview:
This internship introduces high school students to the field of audio and video production. Interns will observe and assist professionals as they set up equipment, record content, and edit audio and video projects. The experience provides insight into creative storytelling, technical skills, and the behind-the-scenes work of media production.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
· Shadow audio/video technicians during recording sessions, live events, or editing projects
· Assist with support tasks such as setting up cameras, microphones, or lighting equipment
· Observe how professionals capture, edit, and produce audio and video content
· Learn about production software, sound design, and video editing techniques
· Gain exposure to teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in media environments
· Completing assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program

· Understand the role of audio and video technicians in creating professional media content
· Learn basic recording, editing, and production skills
· Gain awareness of professionalism, creativity, and deadlines in media production

· Interns will primarily observe and assist with beginner-level production tasks; they will not lead independent projects without supervision
· Compliance with workplace policies, safety standards, and copyright guidelines is required
· Some placements may involve flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for events or productions

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
