Fashion Retail Intern
Overview:
This internship introduces high school students to the world of fashion retail, customer service, and merchandising. Interns will observe and assist retail professionals as they help customers, organize merchandise, and manage day-to-day store operations. The experience provides insight into sales, fashion trends, and the business side of retail.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
· Shadow retail staff during customer service interactions and sales activities
· Assist with support tasks such as organizing displays, tagging merchandise, or restocking shelves
· Observe how staff manage inventory, track sales, and support promotions
· Learn about fashion merchandising, marketing, and customer service strategies
· Gain exposure to teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a retail environment
· Completing assignments, reflection journals, or internship workbook entries as required by the program
Learning Outcomes:
· Understand the role of fashion retail professionals in serving customers and managing merchandise
· Learn about store operations, merchandising, and fashion presentation

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
