Student Practicum Health Care Assistant

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

Ability to work with others without bias or prejudice.
Work alongside a healthcare professional. Duties are assigned based on work schedule.
Assist with computer entry as needed.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player, and enjoy working with the public without bias or prejudice. Must be detail-oriented. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Basic knowledge of office equipment is helpful (phone, copy machine, fax). Confidentiality of patient information is required.
Must be a high school senior in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Business casual attire is required. A professional appearance is essential.
